On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the management of SMSIdea decided to treat their employees with a one-day picnic at Anmol Ruturaj Club near Ahmedabad. None of us had any ideas the day before the picnic about how much fun we’re going to have. That was one of the most memorable days of SMSIdea Family.
The Planning Of The Picnic
We started our research about places, like how would we reach there, timings, date, etc., almost a month ago. Everyone was suggesting different places and taking inquiries and follow-ups. Finally, after so much research and pre-picnic meetings, everyone agreed and finalized the Anmol Ruturaj Club.
The Day Of Picnic - The Most Memorable Day
The picnic was held on 3rd of November 2018. The day when we decided not to behave as the colleagues, mentor and trainee but as friends. The journey started from SMSIdea’s office, in Ahmedabad to Anmol Ruturaj. We then divided ourselves into few cars and began the journey to our picnic spot. In different cars, we all were playing games singing songs and having a fun time.
The Real Fun Begins
We began with an amazing breakfast treat. After Breakfast, we all went for playing cricket. As we all know cricket is the most refreshing as well as most serious game one could play.
After playing a fun game like cricket for 2-3 hours with so much seriousness and dedication, we went for adventure activities. We all were praying to god thet we don't want to break our legs. In adventure activities, we did wall climbing, rappelling, spider net, high rope challenge course, low rope challenge course and lastly zipline. We did all that with little fear and a lot of self-motivation. All along the time we were chanting “We can do it”!
After being so adventurous we went for indoor activities. where we played table tennis. P.S. we were just trying to make a proper boomerang that we can post as I am the professional TT
player??. We then headed out for lunch. The lunch was another amazing treat for our taste buds.
After completing the delicious lunch, we want for swimming. This was the best time we had. The way we have enjoyed in the pool, that smiles, laughter, dives, including and someone shouting "let's have a group photo guys", "hey, take my pic from that side that one will look amazing" was unforgettable. We had traveled back to the childhood days.
After spending quality time in the swimming pool we went for high tea. Later on we played group activities like the dog and the bone. This game which splits us though combine us a team where each member is as equally important as the other one. Every point matters.
And then comes the wildest moment of our day, the clubbing time. We danced like none was watching us. The disco room was well lit with artificial smoke and had a complete disco ambiance.
Goodbyes Are Always Toughest
We had so much fun that we actually forgot that the day will end eventually. We finally had our dinner and bid each other and Anmol Ruturaj Club a goodbye which was tough. We wished each other with Diwali wishes and went our own ways back to Ahmedabad with the bag full of amazing memories, madness, laughter.
